          My assignment today was in the bautisterio—the baptistery, and the roperia—clothing distribution.  Well, it’s one thing to be a helper here and quite another to do this one solo.  Hermana Pavon was with me for an hour and then left for another assignment leaving me alone in the world with my limited vocabulary and wild imagination.  It’s called throw that cat into the river and watch the survival antics.   It actually went better than I thought, and there were moments when I was saved by a passing sister who either knew the ropes in Spanish or knew a few words of English.  The rest was just “shoot from the hip” and hope for the best.  Everyone seemed to get what they needed and the hours passed by at last.  Everyone thinks it was good for me!!!!!!! 

          We are so excited for Conference tomorrow and for a three-day week-end.  Hope you all enjoy!!
