It was wonderful to go to Church today
and not have to worry about giving a talk!
The six-foot plus Elder Small from Utah, however, gave a great talk and
I understood most of it. Then President
Caceras spoke and I didn’t get it at all J
This was a relaxing day to send emails,
read, do a little planning for the next couple of weeks, and get ready for
tomorrow’s outing. Our excursion to the
Lake with the Matute’s starts early; he plans to pick us up here at 6:00 a.m. Of course I’m nervous about contracting
dengue fever—or that other new disease that is worse—from the mosquitoes which
I’m sure we will encounter. It could
also be very hot. But on the up-side,
there is a strong possibility of getting some great photos; and Glade is going
to love getting out of town and into the great outdoors!
We are out of fish now and the last
chicken is still in the freezer, so it was a yummy tuna casserole for dinner
with lots of cheese and toast—real comfort food for a rather cool day. We still had pumpkin cake in the freezer so
that gave us a treat to go with my apple and Glade’s peach-filled Jell-o. At the end of the table my laptop played an episode
of “Music and the Spoken Word” and it was a lovely accompaniment to
dinner—until the message came on; and guess what? It was in Spanish! I surely hope my computer figures out how to
get English back once we get home!!
I hope your week-end has been
great. Love and hugs to everyone!
Good Night!
