A few of the other missionaries took treats to the cafeteria for the temple workers just before they left for home.  We considered this idea and wondered whether or not to follow suit.  Finally, we relented and decided to take cupcakes.  The lemon ones I have made and taken to activities before were a big hit, so we decided to make them again.  This refreshment needs no plates or utensils and is easy to serve, so that helped win the vote.
That meant another trip for groceries after we thought we had seen the last of our favorite food mart.  It was a beautiful, inviting morning with no wind; so we hiked down the hill again, picked up cake mixes, frosting cans (the lemon really is pretty good and it is easy) a small container of canola oil, ten eggs, hair spray that recently hit the bottom of the bottle after lacquering against the wind, a few apples—one for each remaining day here—one last box of granola bars, a couple of tomatoes, and a treat—Peanut M&M’s and a Kit Kat!   It didn’t take us long and we were back up the hill with our goods within the hour.  I had to promise to leave the camera home and not do anything to slow us down this time.  J
The missionary couple from Nicaragua had to travel home and have been gone for nearly two weeks to take care of some health problems.  They returned yesterday and he was back in the temple today, but his wife is not doing very well.  We hope she gets better so they can finish their mission.
I visited with a sweet lady temple worker this evening who is learning English from a book.  We had quite a conversation with our deficiencies!  She has no TV—she doesn’t like TV—no computer, so no Internet.  She only has a small radio that she uses for listening to music every day.  Her four children are all grown and have left home.  It made me count my blessings again to have a computer and the Internet for so many things—especially keeping up with family and having so many learning resources.
I had a long practice session tonight part of which was with Gina.  It was our last practice before we play on Thursday.  She had her daughter record it on an ipad and it was very helpful to hear the weak spots.  We should have done that sooner!  Oh, well.
Love you all,  Have a spiritual and renewing Sabbath Day.

    Good Night!!
