The visiting authority spent the day in
the temple observing its operations and will be there again tomorrow to spend a
second day as well. He and Pres. Ocampo
sat in the back of the session I helped with and all went smoothly. The temple presidency and Elder Alonzo met
for a catered lunch in our lounge and I was happy that it wasn’t Sister Ocampo’s
responsibility since she has had a very busy week spending extra days training
the new counselor’s wife in her duties.
Glade walked to the bakery for bread
today and it is so yummy when it is fresh enough to barely be “cut-able.” Sister Navas is going to give me a
bread-baking lesson using her recipe right after Valentine’s Day. Then we can enjoy it at home as well.
Sometimes I wish I could tell you more about our day spent in the temple so that these posts sound more like a missionary blog instead of just a journal. But many things felt and observed just can't be posted. We know that the work we are helping with is the work of salvation for all those receiving ordinances and we are blessed to be a part of it.
Sweet Dreams, everyone, and Good Night!! Have a great week-end!!
There are dozens of these plants arranged on the temple grounds. |
Set up for the luncheon |
It looked like a great menu and made us hungry as we faced our meager fare. |
