Glade went to the temple a little late this morning since he had to stay and take care of some banking issues on bankers’ hours.  But I hit the ground running and had a very busy turn.  There is such a need for more workers.  Pres. Ocampo told Glade last week that after we get home, we need to recruit North American couples to come here and work in this temple.  So spread the word to couples wanting to serve a mission.  This is a great one, challenges and all!
The Spanish lessons on Duolingo are getting harder.  Learning new concepts is hard when my analytical mind can't get the right answers "logically."  I think I need a class now!  However, my "streak" is up to 270 days straight and counting.  I'll just keep plugging away.
To keep from sleeping this afternoon we decided to walk to Diprova for our exercise and pick up a few apples, bananas, granola bars, soup, eye liner, and sherbet.  It all went great until we got to the freezer section.  All of the frozen products like ice cream (they didn’t have any sherbet) were so melted that the containers felt like they were full of liquid.  So Glade had to go without his favorite treat and picked up a small bag of Peanut M&M’s instead.
I carried only my phone and used it to take a few random photos of our grocery trek and they are posted below.
Have a restful week-end and do something fun that will lift your spirits!

     Love you all.  Good Night!!

Someone is building another house just down the hill from the temple.

This flowering tree is beautiful, but the photo doesn't do it justice.
In the foreground you can see the barred gate to this community.
There is not much in the way of sidewalks here.
Notice the bright yellow house on the left.  Lots of houses
are painted in a variety of bright colors.

I missed getting him in the photo, but a heavily armed guard sits
next to the gentleman on the left with a scary looking weapon.
This is probably the nicest view on our walk.
More pretty flower, of course :)
Another gated community entrance.  There are tons of wires overhead, but at least they are straight and don't look threatening.
Typical garbage receptacle.
This is the shortcut Glade likes to take.  You can see where the sidewalk ends on the left.  The road is rutty with lots of rocks and
reminds me of walking on the roads in Island Park near the cabin.
Typical rolled barbed wire that borders homes and businesses.
This is the last leg of the trek and takes us in the back entrance.
The hallway from the back entrance to the grocery store is lined
with a few businesses, one of which is this dental office.
Can you tell just by looking that this is a barbershop?
First look into the store.  It is small but very nice.
Just one more photo in the store.
We are heading home now and passed this food stand which
featured mostly bananas, a few other fruits, veggies, and eggs.
There is no place for customers to park, so they just stop in the road
and other vehicles have to maneuver around the parked cars.

A van entering a gated community.
The goal is in sight!  You can tell it is going to be uphill.

The hike has begun, and we are getting closer.
There are lots of big holes along the side of the roads like this one.  There are no warning signs or yellow caution cones, etc.  But you wouldn't dare be distracted on a cell phone while walking our route or you would probably disappear into one of them.
Here is another big hole!
We are making good progress, but a familiar feeling of the
Spudman 10-K during about mile five is resting on my shoulders!
It's a good thing that Glade is so conditioned and can carry
most of the groceries himself.  I did manage two bags of apples :)
Just another view from the street.  And the camera battery
just gave up the ghost, so that's all for now  :)
