The Dr. appointment this
morning was a little disappointing but actually about what I expected. The bone is healing, but it is not time to
give up the crutches. Only a toe-touch
of weight with a bent knee is allowed for now.
Tomorrow I have my first appointment with a physical therapist for
exercises to strengthen and stretch the foot and leg. There will be one more therapy session before
next week’s Dr. appointment on Wednesday morning. By the week after that, I hope to graduate to
a full weight-bearing walk with the crutches and maybe the cane.
Anyway, it still feels
like a long haul. I’ll get an air-cast
for the foot and ankle just before we start home. I don’t think that’s going to be very fun for
a 36-hour drive 😊 There is no way I
can help with any of the driving. But I’m
still smiling, appreciating the silver lining, and looking for all that I need
to learn from this experience.
Glade had the long day
in the temple today and now can look forward to a restful and less stressful
Friday. He is doing dishes now and
snacking, trying to eat down the food in the cupboards so we don’t have
left-overs.
Another week-end is
here already—seems like it was just Sunday and now another one is nearly upon
us. Enjoy! Love you All 😊
