Warm temperatures today
(in the 50’s!) made going back to the temple very pleasant. It’s always good, but good weather always
helps. We worked hard and enjoyed our
shift. We saw a man from Corey and
Kristie’s ward who was there for the wedding of a young man he baptized in Colorado.
When he saw Glade, he said, “I know you.” And then the connection was made since we met
them in Texas. Also, he or his wife, is
related to Garon Bell’s sister’s family.
We can’t remember the exact connection. The young people made a very cute couple.
There were two weddings
on our shift and the beautiful brides and handsome grooms were posing for
photos outside the temple. They must
have been so grateful for a pleasant day.
Tonight at 5:00 I gave
an organ lesson to a young sister in the Spanish Ward who wants to play the
organ in Sacrament Meeting. She plays
the piano and has had some organ instruction from other missionaries, so she is
well on her way to success. You know the
magic words for success—practice, practice, practice! I told her that that is all she needs. We’ll meet for a lesson once a week until March
and hope she is ready. We’ll prepare her
to start playing prelude in a couple of weeks—if she practices enough π
We set to work this
afternoon filling our treat bags for our missionary neighbors in the Brookside
Apartments. We added the chocolate,
the oranges, the story, and some trimmings to the bags and will deliver them tomorrow.
As per the photos, this is still a work in
progress that will have to be finished tomorrow. It’s time to try for sleep!
Love you all. Good Night!
