We left for the temple
at 12:30 p.m. and returned at 10:30 p.m.
It was our ward temple night—can you imagine that a ward made up
entirely of temple missionaries who do a shift every day in the temple still
have a ward temple night—and after our regular shift we helped with another
sister’s family work. Glade and I acted
as proxy for a couple and did initiatory, endowment and sealings. There were eight children sealed to “us”—six girls
and two boys! That was a little
humorous. I wonder what life would have
been like to raise six girls! Then some
of those children were sealed to their spouses and one had four children sealed to
them. The director started with everyone
on one side of the sealing room and as each family was sealed, they moved to
the opposite side and it all made for a very effective visual sealing of
families. It was late and we were tired,
but it was a good experience.
Love to all my kids and
families! Have some hot chocolate and
sing some Christmas songs!
