The days are getting harder
because of a lack of activity. I can
only hobble on one leg for so long and then sitting is necessary. There is still some swelling in the foot, so
that requires it to be elevated—preferably above the heart—so that requires
recliner sitting. Being so sedentary is
starting to get to me, however! I am
used to moving! One more week and then I
should be able to be more mobile and do more things although it will take a
while to get used to walking with the boot.
It’s hard to send Glade every day to the temple and remain at home. It is my own responsibility, however, to
choose how I feel—sad, mad, or glad according to Pres. Uchtdorf’s recent
story. So, I’m choosing to keep smiling
and look for the good in having this extra time to read and study. I have actually attacked the subjunctive mood
in Spanish which I have been avoiding forever.
Temple attendance was
high the last two days as the young missionaries from two areas came to do
initiatory and endowment work before the temple closes. Of course, I wasn’t there, but when I have
seen them come in the past, it has made me so happy to see their smiling faces
and enthusiastic countenances.
Good bye to
January. Hello February—and welcome!
Love to Everyone. 😊
