What a great day to know that the leadership of the Lord’s Church moves forward so smoothly and to see a new prophet and his counselors take their place as His spokesmen.  My heart has acknowledged this change with a sweet and tender confirmation.  We were in the temple when the announcement was made so we have yet to view it, but we hope to have the chance to see it in full when we get some free time.  We have so loved President Monson for such a long time and depended on his love and counsel, but the future is full of promise and the guidance from the Lord will continue.  We are truly blessed.

Glade played pickleball this afternoon at the stake center cultural hall while I practiced piano and spent time encouraging my young organist friend to keep practicing and be brave enough to play next week in Sacrament Meeting.  She is still hedging, however, and I’m not sure she’ll come through.  She can definitely accompany the hymns on the piano, but that leap to the organ for the first time is scary.  She has learned good skills and I’m not doing much except helping her practice and coaching her on tempo, volume, and settings.  She is pretty young, but has a full schedule besides organ practice including violin, tap and ballet, piano lessons, Young Women’s activities, and homework.

Be happy, tell your spouses and your children how much you love them—then show them—and keep striving toward your goals.  Love you all so much!  Hugs!  😊
