This was a rather odd day, or perhaps I
should say unique. The coordinator
suggested I sit near the front desk, where Glade was stationed, and act as a
guide! Well, that’s pretty funny since I’m
just full of unspoken information!
However, hand gestures, body language, and hand motions to “follow me” worked
out just fine, especially since Glade was a great translator.
Our sweet 81-year-old friends the Bassetts left for home in The United States this morning. This was their fifth mission in Central America, and although a couple of them were short, that is an amazing history to me. Neither of them spoke Spanish when they were first called, so they have done exceptionally well. We will miss them.
Sweet Dreams-----
