It is still in the rainy season here,
but it hasn’t rained nearly as much as we anticipated from the computer stats
about Tegucigalpa. However, the evening
was beautiful when we left the temple about 9:00 p.m. with a few lingering
drops from a refreshing rain and glistening sidewalks reflecting the glow from
the sidewalk lamps. The lights of the
city are gorgeous and seem to go on forever.
The patrons don’t hurry away from the temple and stay on the grounds
visiting, pondering, and enjoying the last vestiges of their temple experience.
The two North American nurses—sister missionaries
about my age—came to the temple again today and I was able to assist them again
in English. They use the headsets during
the sessions and are so grateful to have the English help available to them. By now, it seems like we are old friends and
it feels so good! One of them told me
that a young sister in the session told them that I must have been a model when
I was young! Why, I’ll never know with
my “big hair” and “funny talk.” But the
sister missionary said I should write that down in my journal today—so here it
is. It made me smile J Love to all of you!
