This Post is out of order, but it got lost some place and I wanted it to be a part of the journal. If anyone knows how to put it in chronological order, be my guest. Alexis finally has me making a new post every day so you don't have to scroll through everything to find what's current.
Wow!
It is really May and we have survived our first days in Honduras. We are getting used to soaking fruits and veggies
in Clorox water for 20 minutes and then peeling them; remembering to brush our
teeth with water from the filtered faucet, doing dishes and clean-up with
disinfectant, and going without a car.
It is a pretty easy list of adjustments and we are grateful.
The swelling in my purple ankle was
down enough today to return to the temple although I didn’t help out much—they
gave me easy things to do. Glade’s day
was a little lighter, too, so his back is better tonight. My major work is to study, study, study. Glade is great at helping me with
pronunciation or I would never get it!
My phone says the temperature in
Tegucigalpa is 81 degrees, but it feels more like 75. It is cooler up higher where we are than down
in the city. It is a little cloudy with a
welcome breeze.
All is well.
