The ankle
is still swollen and very colorful, but doing a little better each day.
Our schedule changed today to the morning shift for a week, meaning we had to
be at the temple before 6:00 a.m. We actually love this time frame better
than the late-day time.
It was a
very busy day with more new experiences. I did things I could not have
imagined I would be doing this soon. We have not stepped into a
“well-oiled machine” since nearly everyone is new and learning. Everyone
seems kind and patient with the learning curve of all those who are trying to
memorize parts and learn responsibilities. As I was sitting in the
ordinance room today, I was overwhelmed with the feeling of how happy I was to
be there, despite the challenges and the uphill climb. It is where we are
supposed to be.
Glade went
with Pres. and Sister Cazier today to see a dentist since she broke off a tooth
and wanted an “expert” along for consultation. She came home from
the tiny office—with old, but tried and true methods—sporting a temporary fix
and was so glad for Glade’s help.
A piercing
fire alarm sent us scurrying outside this afternoon. It is surprising
that we most often expect it to be a false alarm and only hurry out to
get away from the screaming sound and not because we are concerned that there
might really be a fire!
Stay healthy, everyone. It is critical to your quality of life and we see it more and more--not only in ourselves, but in people around us!
