Last night
my ankle was much worse—the swelling was back and new bruising showed up—so I
opted to stay at home today. Glade gave me a blessing and I kept it
elevated at night and as much as possible today. It was better
tonight. I was just too impatient to get back to my responsibilities and
didn’t give it enough time to start healing. I studied most of the day.
Thunder
rumbled and lightning brightened the dark skies as we climbed into bed last
night. It rained, but I was disappointed to not hear it drumming on the
windows. I love rain storms. Honduras thunder doesn’t sound like
Idaho thunder, though—Glade thought I was crazy, but it was not the same.
It was, however, in some way comforting and I enjoyed the storm.
In some
places, the storm was severe enough to affect temple attendance today and the
numbers were lower than usual. It was good for Glades’ back and he had a
pleasant day.
A pair of
missionaries cornered him while he was out walking and asked him to accompany
them on a visit tonight to show a film and give a lesson to a lady they are
teaching. They had a bit of a walk, but it is always worth it when you are
sharing the Gospel with someone. They really appreciated him going.
This is Kristie. I love picturing you enjoying the storm:) How fun for Dad to go out teaching. I bet you loved that Dad! So sorry about your back still hurting and your ankle mom. Hope it isn't broken! Glad you are enjoying the morning schedule. Mom, good job being so positive about the language. You will be fluent before you know it! Love you both!
