Today we had a chance to do some much needed shopping and build our storage a little.  Since we don’t have a car, we take advantage of every offer.  We met Pres. and Sister Cazier at 9:00, drove to Wal-Mart and PriceMart, and made it back just in time to get ready and hurry to the temple.  It was good to get out for a while.
I wanted more pictures, but the opportunities just weren’t there.  On our way home we saw a street vendor that had about twenty chickens lined up along  several bars (like on a rotisserie) on a five foot by six foot rack.  They looked just like whole chickens from the grocery store—featherless with limbs askew—and so out of place and unrefrigerated.
The Wal-Mart turned out to be a pretty good store with lots of American products—expensive American products.  But they felt safe and we loaded up the cart.  We even found chocolate chips and Blue Bunny ice cream—Glade is a happy camper tonight.  The lines in the PriceMart were incredibly long—three or four of the checkout stations were out of order—so it took a long time to check-out.  There were hundreds of decorated cakes stacked about five deep the whole width and lenth of a regular product row.  A lady told us they were for Mother’s Day and they were selling “like hotcakes!”
The only pictures I could manage to take today were in the Wal-Mart parking lot.  The couple you see with Glade are Pres. and Sister Cazier—he is a counselor in the Temple Presidency and the one who drives for us.  They are from Florida.
The Temple experience was great today.  I even “trained” two different sisters in two different areas.  It wasn’t much, but it was a little step up.  Of course we always learn the most when we help others.  The language I am using in the ceremonies in the temple is flowing a little better, but the memorization is slow.  Thank goodness I can use cards when I have to.  These wonderful people all speak so fast and sometimes so differently from each other that they are hard to follow.  I am slowly getting better.
Well, it’s a weed-end.  Hope you all enjoy some summer weather and being with your families.  As always, we send you all our love!

Entrance to the Mall where the Wal-Mart is

Just a view across the parking lot--sorry, it's not as interesting as was hoped.

Another view from the parking lot--Do you think we dare eat at the McDonald's?
That's funny because we hardly dare eat there at home!

Here is the Wal-Mart Sign--oops, there is no hyphen in WalMart!

Glade in the foreground and the Caziers in back--loading the groceries into
the missionary car.  It's a great car and he is a great driver in all that crazy traffic.
