Glade's back felt much better this morning and he returned to the temple for our shift today.
It was very busy and we were short on help. I actually love those
days when we have to move quickly from one activity to another often overlapping responsibilities
and when we are really needed. It was great.
It is always nice to get home a couple
of hours earlier on Saturday since we start earlier. It gave me a chance tonight to make a
casserole for dinner tomorrow and some pumpkin chocolate chip cookies for
Glade. He made caramel microwave popcorn
and munched it while he kept up with several football games. The commercials were offset enough that we
even watched a network showing of “It’s a Wonderful Life” and it felt very
nostalgic and Christmassy. I love the
message in that old movie.
‘Tis the season for concerts, programs,
traditions, gatherings and parties.
Enjoy each one and treasure the memories you are building. I especially miss the lights, the wonderful
magi of anticipation, and of course, my precious family. I hope you have a chance to see the First
Presidency Christmas Devotional tomorrow.
We feel so blessed to be able to get it here when we are so far away.
Love you all so much. Good Night!
