          It is extremely dry here and fires burning in the hills leave a haze over the city and send wafts of smoke into our apartment at night making it hard for Glade to sleep.  His temperamental sinuses don’t like it at all.  We are happy to be up high, however, and out of the smog of the city.  It looks quite polluted right now.  The rainy season is still out a ways and didn’t actually rain nearly as much as we expected last year.
