Our temple missionary friends in Chile
were spared the effects of the most recent earthquakes, but our hearts go out
to those whose lives have been turned upside down by the devastation.
Elder and Sister Starkey, the temple
missionaries here from Kaysville, UT, turned in their papers for another
mission to come on the heels of this one.
Their mission here is for 18 months and will finish in October. They have kids living in their house and since
they wanted to serve again anyway, decided to just do it now. They received their call today to Coban, Guatemala;
and they report for an office experience mission in mid-January. They arrived here in this mission after we
did, will leave in October, and be on their next mission in Guatemala before we
leave Tegucigalpa. Wow. I’m definitely not ready to do that yet, but
admire them for continuing their service.
