The
first session I helped with today was full of missionaries. I learned afterward in visiting with a few of
the sisters, that 17 of them will be leaving for home tomorrow—eleven sisters
and six elders. Those sweet girls were
understandably emotional, anxious to see their families, but sad to leave this
life-changing experience behind. One
girl will be going home to Idaho Falls, another to Logan, one to Washington
State and another to California. We
shared lots of warm hugs and goodbyes.
It is still raining. There was not nearly this much rain last year
at this time because of the draught, so it is a welcome change!
As a missionary, a mom, and a friend, I
encourage you to read the Ensigns—cover to cover. They are filled with inspirational messages
that are so relevant to issues, questions, and situations that we face every
day. These articles come through loud
and clear on my kindle every day for 45 minutes while I “treadmill” and make
the time go by so much faster. It is not
only the conference talks that are available, but all the Ensigns and other
Church magazines. It creates a wonderful
tone for my day.
Good Night All!
